Athaan Group 1: Grades 3-5 Group 2: Grades 6-8 Group 3: Grades 9-12	Criteria: 10 marks for makharij 5 marks for clarity 10 marks for qirat (Boys only)
Islamic Calligraphy: Group 1: Grades 3-5 Verse: Rabbi Zidni Ilma Group 2: Grades 6-8 Verse: Bismilla Hir Rahma Nir Raheem Group 3: Grades 9-12 La Ilaha Illallahu Muhammadur Rasulullah	Criteria: 5 marks for beauty 5 marks for creativity 5 marks for legibility

Rules:

1. Participants will be given 45 minutes to complete their Art work.
2. Calligraphy must be done freehand.
3. High quality paper will be provided for the Art work. Paper size will be 14″ X 22″ (36cm X 56cm).
4. Participants are REQUIRED to bring their own drawing instruments; Markers, pencils (colored or black), Crayons, Water colors and oil colors can be used.
5. Stencils, carbon-papers and other copying material will not be allowed.
6. During the competition, copying the art work from any reference will not be allowed.
7. Participants can use any style of calligraphy available and can also use their own style.

 

Islamic Knowledge Group 1: Grades 3-5 Group 2: Grades 6-8 Group 3: Grades 9-12

Rules:

1. A set of hundred questions will be prepared for each group. These questions will be posted online prior to the competition so you can research the answers.
2. At the day of the competition you will be asked 50 of the hundred questions.
3. This will be an oral quiz in front of the judges and any audience members.

Spoken Word Group 1: Grades 3-5 Group 2: Grades 6-8 Group 3: Grades 9-12

Criteria 10 marks for creativity 10 marks for speech delivery

Rules:

1. Prepare a spoken word on a relevant topic to society or Islam for example: parents, Ramadan, Quran, life of a Muslim, the Prophet
2. The spoken word presentation cannot be longer than 5 minutes
